Once I started making Lois Lane, I really wanted to give her a cool base. I had never seen a Daily Planet one, so I went for it. it is basically a kids plastic ball with wood letters glues on. The base is a tupperware container on some old GI joe platform. I found some cool touch lights at the dollar store and there you go!
Clever. This is the kind of "out of the box" thinking I like to see in modelmaking. Congrats! If it were me, though, I'd plant the globe on a flat base and build a low wall for Superman and Lois to stand behind, as if they're on top of the building looking down at the city.
Thank. I was throwing around ideas on what could make it more "top of the building"-like, but it starting to grown to much so I figured the winner could add stuff themselves. If I had the resources I would have added four gargolyes to each corner too!
