I just bought this figure & I saw his face looked exactly like Heath Ledger but not like the Joker himself. I decided to fix that. I took a fine red pen & went over his lips with that to give it that pure red look to it.I also added a scar or two to him with the pen. I then took a fine black pen & made the makeup around his eyes.Luckily the pen was kind of liquidy so it ran down a little, that made it look very realistic as if it were real face paint on the figure.I tried making a perfect face several times & the ink faded gray into it & it actually made it look much more realistic because I took a cloth & dabbed the black spots so then it would fade gray and make it look like the face paint is rubbing off.Its weird and cool too but some spots ended up looking yellowish but peach, so it looked like skin. So my messups actually help me.....Wow, how cool is that that I can mess up, yet still make it good. I then watched the whole movie again & I studied the Jokers face.I eventually made the face look perfect (to me at least)And I came out with something that looked just like the Joker (to me). Then after I was done with that I started to make accessories. I took a toothpick & cut it to a pretty decent size for a figure to hold. I then colored it with pens & markers & then it looked pretty good.It was his pencil for his "magic trick". Then I wanted to make his bomb device that he has in his jacket, so I took some toothpicks & cut them to very small little cylinders as if they were TNT sticks. I put tape over that & colored it black. Then I took string from an old blanket that was white. I cut the string to a size of my liking & then I taped one end of it to the TNT stick pack thing, and the other end goes on/in his hand. I had also recently bought a Halo figure for a decent price, and I noticed he had a knife glued to his shoulder but the handle was sticking out so I just ripped it right off & colored the paint from the Halo figure black, so then it wasn't noticeable, that it was ripped off of him. Luckily it fit right into the Jokers hand. Well, thats it & please go easy on the comments because... well it's my first custom on here & it may not look it, but it was hard work. Thank you and please comment & tell any tips and or requests. :) (By the way the TNT stick pack isn't visible, but it's there. And sorry if the pictures aren't 100% clear, but I edited the pics shade a little bit so it can pick up the extra detail. And hopefully you'll be able to see the knife and details. Please wait... |
