Batmobile (Batman) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:41494
Name:Batmobile
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Batman
Creator:suprasizeme
Date Added:August 4, 2012
Base Figure:R/C car from Maisto
Height:6.00 inches
I found this r/c car at my local swap meet. I immediately was drawn to it. The car looked like a cross between the movie batmoblie tumbler and a futuristic race car. You can't tell from the pics but the back tires are enormous like the tumbler's. The front has a sleek design and even has flairs that look like something a batmobile should have. It even came equipped with missile launchers on one side and side blades on the other. I imagine the missiles could contain tear gas for crowd control and the side blades are in place so Batman can slash the tires of the bad guy's car during a pursuit. Both very useful crime fighting tools.

I took apart the entire car and ripped out all the mechanics. This was quite an ordeal since I am not a very mechanically savvy person. It took me a couple of days to get it totally dismantled then when it was time to put it back together I forgot how it fit together. After a few frustrating hours I was able to reassemble it. I made a cockpit large enough to fit a DCSH Batman 6 inch figure. And even made a batmoblile inspired steering wheel. Spray painted the entire car in flat black and painted the wind shield silver. Finally I added the bat symbol for the front license plate. I know traditionally the batmoblie doesn't have the symbol on it but I thought it would add a bit of color to break up the monotony. I actually completed this custom a few months ago before I got my airbrush. Currently working on some Iron man customs and I am experimenting with airbrushing Alclad chrome. If the airbrushing comes out decent I might strip the Batmoblie and airbrush it, but I am not sure. Please let me know what you think and God Bless!!

I just looked, and Maisto makes some motorcycles in this same stylistic line, too. It looks perfect for Robin!

Great find, and even better conversion work! You're absolutely right, it looks like a perfect Batmobile, combining the heft and aggression of the Tumbler with a futuristic sleekness that any good Batmobile should have.

Extremely nice. I can only give you a 10 out of 10 stars as it isn't a fully functioning RC capable of holding a figure but it is damn attractive
