Hello,

So I wanted to do this Azrael for a minute, but was in the process of doing so many other things. In any case, I put an extra DCUC Sinestro head onto the Boromir body, so as to save Boromir's head for something else, and then sculpted Azrael's mask over it. I sculpted his left shoulder pad and used cut up pieces of another LOTR figure's armour for the right side armour plates. His leg pouches are from some Marvel figure belt, and his knee pads are from a Dark Knight Movie Master Batman's shoulder armor, with sculpt to smooth it out and hold it.

His left arm blades are from an Ultimate Wolverine's claw, and some sculpte to make it fit into the armor style. On his right forearm are three blades that protrude from the back of the guantlet. He has a cloth, custom shaped hood-which is removable to reaveal a smooth armoured head/mask, a cloth strap cape, and cloth robes over his chest armor with the Templar cross painted in a 'faded' fashion. The sword, sheath, and straps are all from LOTR figure fodder.

He's wicked poseable and the paints came out alright I think.

Please tell me what you think!

- Fitz

Great job Fitz, Azrael in all of his incarnations is probably my favorite DC character. How did you make the paint look all faded on the Templar cross Like that?

I watered the red paint down a lot and brushed it on with a thin brush. I formed the cross and then when it dried, painted a super-watered down white over the whole chest, which helped it look faded. Lastly, I brushed an EXTREMELY watered down black--basicallty dirty water, for the weathered look. Glad you like it.
