Another request. My "requestant" wanted a movie gambit much like my own, but not with the comic-book like head. He said he wanted him more realistic. Not even gambit´s trademark black eyes. This took a while to get the right recipe. Body was clear from the beginning, but the head choice was head-aching. An added difficulty was the absence of neck on this figure. I tried sculpting one, but wasn´t satisfied with the result. I used a willy wonka head with sculpted hair, so his movie gambit were played by johnny depp, lol, but I rejected that idea, too. Finally, I got the neck from the hideous SMC daredevil, and then, I remembered grown nerd´s excellent custom of John carter from mars. Taylor Kitsch being the only movie reference we have for gambit, and with no headsculpts available of him, that gave me the idea of using movie punisher´s head. Even though the 2 actors bear the same resemblance as an egg and a nut, the figure´s hed did the trick. Added Kamandi´s hair, with a lot of dremmeling and sanding on the inside, and we had a deal. Sculpted a couple cards from scratch, painted them like they were kinetically charged, and gave him a staff from a total justice robin. Done. The new owner loves him, and I kind of like him, too. Might do one for myself.
