HEY.. First off a big Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome back on my previous two posts. Really meant a lot and motivated me to get the brushes out, cleaned and ready to go to work.
OK. I dont even know what got me thinking about ole Grundy here. Perhaps it's the pretty cool hitman version from the Brave and the Bold. Though I wanted to tackle that version of the character, I had to say that looking at the awesome grundy's on here, I felt motivated to do a classic style.
Recipe:
from the neck down it is a FA Grey Hulk. extended the lower arms by about a quarter inch while retaining the articulation.
Couldn't find boots big enough for Grundy so I removed the toes of the Grey Hulk, and went to sculpting. That was the only articulation lost. I think they turned out pretty good. Even added ear bud headphone wire for laces. I added a little bit of rubber to the sole of the boot to allow for him to be posed in mid stride like in Pic #3.
The head used was the one from the Edward Norton Hulk movie. Target exclusive. I had used the body in my Hulked out Wolverine figure and never suspected the head would work so well for Grundy.
