I just made this on a whim after experimenting with a package of flesh toned medical latex like they make fake limbs out of. I added the arm and leg bones from a model skeleton, a pair of hands from a Playarts Kai figure, a necklace thing from a Kai figure, and half a skull from the skeleton model as it reminded me of having been half digested already. More of the skull shows through in person as it sank a bit deeper over night. I had tried posing it in a more threatening way but this stuff has a mind of its own if you aren't careful. It had originally been nearly 2" tall but over a half hour flattened out like this. Not many of you on here are old enough to remember the remake of The Blob from 1988, it was a very gory remake (considering how non violent the original was). So i figured I'd do a part that wasn't seen in the movie where a still fairly small blob has eaten a few folks but they aren't fully ingested yet.
Shapp: The diner scene was filmed in PA too. I just did this for a laugh as I couldn't stand to waste the material at 15.00 a container, it's some nasty stuff until it sets up.
This is freakin awesome. The original Blob is one of the greatest cult horror films ever made. They even have a convention here near where I work as the original film had parts shot here. The theater scene was shot here in PA and once a year they film people running from the theater like the Blob is coming after them. It's pretty awesome. Great originality bud.
