i worked the design out best i could from the preview art to the new book. jumped at the chance to make a hulk i could add to my s.h.i.e.l.d. team.
hes completely a marvel select hulk figure. sculpted totally new head over old one, along with new armored trunks and gloves, then total repaint. not sure what yet the lil robot is, probably a s.h.i.e.l.d. monitor, but its made from a lil plastic ball and sculpt.
thanks for looking and as always all comments are greatly appreciated.
Totally dig your style--and not just because I can see similarities with my own! Awesome sculpting as usual and you know I love the gritty effect work.
Aww man, that's flattery of the highest nature--and here I always felt your lines were cleaner! It's hard to strike just the right mix of true grit and symmetry. Sometimes I feel like I fall flat on my face! No doubt this is why artists like Miller, Silvestri, Kieth and Mignola held as much appeal for me as Liefield and Lee back in the day.
thanks man, I really wasn't sure how it was gonna look til I got some paint on it. I sat there for a week looking the preview art of leinyl yus cover to issue 1, tweeking it a lil here and there, redoing the chin and cheekbones several times. its nice to hear it was all worth it.
Gorgeous work, scarecr0w13!!! Might very well be my favorite of your works-of-art, brother! I love everything about it: the sculpt work, the paint job, the head sculpt!!! TOTALLY AWESOME!!!
