I was approached by a buyer to create a Marvel Universe scaled custom of the Marvel Legends' Ultimate Wolverine. A fairly straight forward custom, mostly just a repaint, although I did swap out the hands for some custom versions with better blades, and added a few styrene details on the boots.
definitely looks like it belongs with the rest of the released wolvie figures, nice choice for the claws, I have a question though what did you use to bond the styrene sheet? just plain super glue?
Actually, now that I look at the pics again, it's not styrene at all
It's actually some small pieces of flex-rex that I cut for the boots. Sorry about that. But they were attached with regular super glue. To attach styrene I usually use super glue as well. If you're putting styrene over a curved part of your figure, just heat it up for a second with a hair dryer so it's flexible and glue it in place. When it cools - and the glue dries - it will have the shape of the area you're putting it with.
looks great! I've been enjoying your MU scale customs since not only do they look really professional, but that's also the scale I collect for marvel. wolvie here looks perfect, really nice work!
Thanks man! I strive for perfection (lol) and I'm sure that my buyers are looking to put them with their existing MU collections, so I guess that means I'm hitting my mark
