Molten – base figure: ufc classic fig. Basically the same recipe as my recent luke cage. Except less sculpt and more stripping of existing details. The head is a modified mr sinister, smoothed out to look less “pointy” in areas lol. The main focus was a deep candy yellow gold, which was achieved using a layering of different flakes, clears and glosses. The hands were from Sota Guile, just like luke cage. Really liked how this monochromatic fig turned out, too bad I missed that contest months back.
amazing work again my friend this spree of customs you are bringing out is outstanding but this is possibly my favourite simply becasue of the way you have have made it look so fantastic but simple at the same time, it's great to have you back man you were missed
Ya know, despite the simplicity, this is fun to see. I've always thought that it was really difficult to customize this character and have a sense of satisfaction afterwards. Not because of the difficulty but moreso the opposite; because of how minimalistic his design always was (kindova golden Namor) and how that left anyone who would attempt him with very little to work with in terms of being able to offer anything of visual interest. That being said though, and please take this as a compliment, this is actually quite nice in its own humble sorta way, no doubt due to the subtle discerning hand by which you approached both the head mods and that lovely paintwork. I bet that looks great on the shelf - especially with that display. You did a nice job with a subject that 'I'd say' is definitely a desired character in the pantheon of Spidey foes, but at the same time, hard to get inspired about custom-wise because of his own innate qualities as a design not seeming to offer much more than a figure simply painted gold. Nice work! ~phin
