After seeing Fast Freddie version of HERCULES I needed to put one together, I started the custom with a WWE Deluxe Aggression base, I inserted a set of ML Lord Thor arms, cut and paste a set of MS Thor boots, I gave him bigger lats and traps to compensate for the huge arms, the head is that from MOTU Fisto and the skirt is from ML Hercules, I also want to thanks Freddie for helping me with the skin tone (hairy chest and arms) The man is a pure magician with the airbrush that is why I call him Freddie Angelo! I hope you like him.
What a freak'n Incredible Hercules! You two are like the Bats and Supes combo of customizing! Pure Gold! The fact you guys let StarWarsGeek cast the head as well to make it available for us little guys is awesome!
Wow! You two always come up with really good stuff bro! This is your best tag team effort to date and I'm sure you will top it very soon. Great job you two !
I hope im not late to the party This is probably your best custom so far Steve, The mixture of parts totally made this figure very unique. The proportion is great, the paint and sculpting is fantastic and the tiny details you add, simply made this custom Ultra Special! A very well made figure.
Great custom!..just have one question. The belt.where is it from? it has a lions face, I have been waiting for that kind of piece? I know its not from ml hercules thank you
What I really loved about this custom Hercules is the addition of the ripped Lord Thor arms. It really makes it much better than just using the normal DA arms. For Stevid's Herc, I didn't even try to sculpt the hair on the chest or arms like the last one and just used the dremel to add the texture. I think that gives an added realism instead of just painting or trying to line the hairs on. Then the head choice Stevid made is just about as perfect as you can get, a really serious looking, down to business expression. I like how the green and brown turned out too. This figure would look great with an Avengers or Champions collection for sure
Very nice! I loved Freddie's too. Its hard not to marvel at his paintwork - really dug the use of orange on his. I also very much prefer the lion buckle to the monogramed, so you win points for that as well. Also, Lord Thor has beautifully sculpted arms, so that was a good move because I just never feel like Herc gets enough respect in that his figure really should be every bit as impressive physique-wise as Thor and yet we seldom see representations of him - at all and then when we do, that aren't as laughable as that silly grotesquely muscled Hasbro version. It all came together very nicely. ~phin
Good point on Hercules figures phin! It's too true! As for your Herc Stevid, way to go! The parts work well together, and when you get the look of paints like that, oooh you have a sweet combination!
