I have always wanted to build a batcave, but the prospect of such a daunting task has always seemed like unto eating an elephant...so how do you eat an elephant?...one bite at a time. I have decided to use a modular approach for the Batcave so each station will be made separately. First and foremost on my todo list was the Batcomputer. I honestly can't remember where most of the parts come from exactly, but it is a combination of Marvel Legends, McFarlane, Mezco, DC Direct, and even the Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel series. All of the computer monitors are made out of cardboard and CD covers. Although the Bat symbol is on each monitor's wallpaper, they are all made like a pocket so that different screens can be interchanged. The Drafting Lamp is completely made from lego parts, toothpicks, wire, and a stir-stick that I used for the light bulb. I could not find a proper scaled phone that I liked, so I carved one out of wood. There actually are 17 points of articulation on this station, the floor rotates, the chair swivels, the lamp can be tilted and swiveled, the base holding the monitors can tilt forward and all of the monitors are on armatures made from Marvel Universe scaled stands. The disk drive also has two sliding doors. The catwalk is made from "Watchmen" series bases. Well, the Batcave will be an ongoing project for me, I have plans to add a couple more things to the Batcomputer, but not until I have some other pieces completed to go with it.
Thanks guys, the Bruce Wayne figure was just kind of thrown in there for scale (although the pic is a little misleading, DCUC figures can be seated easily inside the chair). The BW figure is a "Buffy" "Spike" base with a "Movie Masters" Bruce head. Thanks for all the kind words guys!
wow, this looks great. Can´t believe the phone is carved. Incredible job. BTW, what body is that you used for bruce? Buffy series? isn´t it too tall? because he looks great with the christian Bale head..
That is amazing. Looks like a mint DCD right out of the box. Can't believe the phone is carved! Hey, for the big dino, get an Atlantis Giant T-Rex on our fav auction site. It's the old corny comic style, and 18" H x 36" long in 1/13th scale. (Note I have no affiliation with the sellers, just a satisfied customer.)

can't wait to see your whole elephant eaten, and even if you don't get to it, this bite was huge and delicious
