The female Marvel legends bodies are nice but a pain to work with and don't look right for a character like X-23 (they are too tall) so here I used a DC universe classics base body which is much more versatile and in the correct scale for a teenager like Laura and goes along great with your Wolverine and Daken figures. After sculpting the boots (the most difficult part of this entire figure) I gave her a belt made of metallic rings which were embedded one by one , then joined together with apoxie, finally added some rigid plastic claws to finish her looks.
I did not used metal this time for her cause I have safety concerns on them. Some parents give my figures to their kids to play with (?) but even a fall off the shelf could hurt someone, so I will be avoiding them from now on except when requested but a waiver will have to be signed. That's really nice. The sculpt on the boots is super crisp and precise, and the belt is awesome - the work really shows there. That belt really makes the whole figure shine. Looks great. What head and hair is that?
Thank you! Yeah the boots is where I put a lot of care. I took references from the Bishoujo statue. The head is a cast of a Firestar figure from dc universe classics I believe but I'm not sure (I cast massive amounts of them so I can have them ready and then put them all in my parts box so they are ready when I need them. The hair was sssculpted from scratch.
