BIO:

MARA JADE:
Mara Jade Skywalker was, during different times in her life, an Emperor's Hand, a smuggler, and later a Jedi Master who sat upon the Jedi High Council. She was raised as a servant to Emperor Palpatine and became a high-level Force-using operative. As an Emperor's Hand, Jade carried out the Emperor's bidding, killing Rebels and corrupt Imperials alike with cold professionalism, even as a young woman. As Palpatine's assassin, she received top-notch training from experts in a variety of fields as well as training in the Force, which was continued by Luke Skywalker years later. After Palpatine's death, she received his last command, which was to kill Luke Skywalker; however, the death of her Master caused her to go rogue. Eventually she joined smuggler chief Talon Karrde, becoming one of his best smugglers and his second-in-command. During the predations of Grand Admiral Thrawn, she was forced to work with Skywalker, and developed a grudging respect for him. During the Galactic Civil War, Mara Jade proved herself skilled in a variety of fields; she was a good pilot and mechanic and trained in the use of both a blaster and hand-to-hand combat even without relying on the Force. After marrying Skywalker, Mara Jade took the surname Skywalker and devoted her life to the New Jedi Order, becoming a Master in her own right.

I am making a X-Wing pilot Jaina Solo. I just havent decided on the head yet, and am not sure which other outfit version to use. If you have any suggestions on which outfits of hers you like please let me know.

Well I've always been a fan of them wearing the black outfit that looks like Luke's from ROTJ. If you like using Marvel bases, the Marvel Select Black Widow would probably work well.... As for a head- not sure of the scale, but a Buffy "Dawn" head would suit the look well....What are you using for the X-wing suit? I think the flightsuit Boomer from Battlestar Galactica would look amazing!

I thought of that character but the base is expensive for Boomer, but she does look like a fantastic candidate. Height is always a concern. Some bases also are just to tall as I am always trying to have them clock in at 6.5 and under. I have a few I am playing with right now but it is always hard for me to make a final executive decision on what parts are going to be used. Cost is always a factor as well as availability. I do not like to skimp on parts and I want the final product to have that look or feel of the character.

That is exactly what I say. When I was a kid I thought the smaller 3.75 inch scale was perfect for the size of my hand but as an adult it looks like a toy for kids. I want a figure that looks and feels like a cross between a toy and a sculpture. That way it looks like a piece of art to display and pose. And of course for some to occasionally play with

I agree. I used to only buy 3.75 scale but once I swtiched to 6 to 7 inch scale I never looked back. I still purchase the smaller scale from time to time but I think customs should be done in a 1:10th to 1:12th 6 inch scale

Sexy sexy sexy! This is a gorgeous custom, you've given Mara Jade such a beautiful face and all the costume details are spot on...love the tattered cape/shawl. Now that Star Wars Episodes 7, 8 and 9 are on the slate for production, I'm hoping that Mara Jade will, somehow, figure into the new movies.

Me too. I am dying to see Mara Jade on the big screen. I actually just found out that lucasfilm was sold to Disney for 4Billion and they will be making episode 7, 8, 9. The making of the rest of the saga is a dream come true. I am so excited.
