For my first attempt at anything like this I chose Lobo. I drew inspiration from several artists and renditions that stuck out the most in my mind(namely art by Simon Bisley and the Lobo's Back series). This took A LOT of time to achieve (mostly due to trial and error), but I couldn't be happier. I wanted a a good cross-over of comic book/organic ratio. I love the way Lobo looks post-battle and I wanted to incorporate more of a grimy biker/bounty hunter image. Let's not forget how many times he's been to Hell and back. When I decided to do a custom I fought the urge to just repaint the Direct figure because something told me I could do better. Hope you like.

Paints used: Model Master primer white, and a set of Testors Craft/Hobby Acrylics. All sculpt with Aves Fix-it . Extra special thanks to KeepSmiling for the base figures, encouragement to try and the advice to help me along. Also thanks to FigureRealm and Jin Saotome for tutorials.

The head is all new sculpt (except the eyes) over what was an Undertaker head
Base body is Marvel Universe Warpath with:
beefed up shoulders and see-through bullet hole in the left one
Left-arm is beefed up Savage dragon with sculpted fingerless glove and deeper forearm striations and veins added to biceps
bullet entry and exit wounds in torso and vest
Sealed torso articulation and re-sculpted midsection
Vest is entirely hand-made from a faux leather purse purchased from Goodwill. “Bite Me Fanboy” was painted on canvas and then stitched on. Pockets held together with silver brads and otherwise functional.
Belt and buckle are both original sculpt. Also added a bigger “bulge”
Increased quads size to allow space to create the laceration
both knee “pads” taken from DC Direct Lobo. Skull is all new sculpt over the original garbage
Shin guards and steel toes all original sculpt.
Chain also taken from DC Direct Lobo and both hooks are all sculpt. The hook on a stick was my first idea to attach to the chain, but knew later I would want the more traditional “Main Man's” weapon of choice
