thanks terry. I figured with a guy who can change his face, hed prolly wanna keep the rest of himself covered, so the turtleneck and gloves seemed the best way to go. if the prof x body was a 2 piece suit without the vest I think itd be more useful, the three piece just doesn't work as well for everyone so I thought it best to alter the shirt.
thanks chris, its amazing how hard something so simple can be to get right sometimes. im happy with how the mask came out but I had to re sculpt that center line several times.
Awesome Chameleon! I have wanted a Legends figure of this guy ever since I was a kid and saw him on Spider-Man. I love the fact that you sculpted the turtleneck, and didn't just use the straight Prof. X body. It helps this stand out and look different on the shelf. I like that head, too. The angry eyes and the gritted teeth actually give him a lot more emotion than you would think a guy in a face mask could have.
Hasbro should REALLY come out with a figure of him. They could give him a few interchangeable heads, too.
thanks jm. thats why I wanted to use the aoa weapon x head, it had expressive enough eyes and mouth that it would show something through the very plain mask he was getting. the turtle neck with the suit was a nineties look for the chameleon and in my mind, if I wasn't gonna do the smoking jacket I had to do this. but I wanted to keep the classic looking mask with the rectangular openings and the seam down the middle rather than the later plain white nose-less face.
