continuing my run of characters from jason aarons run on ghost rider. this time is the deacon, a servant of the rebel angel zadkiel. we meet deacon in a texas prison where hes given a vile which holds the elixir from the "rock of etam". upon drinking the potion, deacon is given all of samson's strength and two holy golden swords which are supposedly deadly enough to kill ghost rider.

hes made from a maestro with a chunk of sasquatch hair. de-warted the maestro figure, then sculpted in the shoes, pant details, hair, beard, and some facial touches. sculpted his golden knives over top drax's knives. then total repaint. i could have continued refining the tattoos forever, but there reached a point where i decided hes done.

thanks for looking and all comments are greatly appreciated.

First of all, this is Tremendous! Really nailed the character. Secondly, I can't believe how far you've come in under a year. You pack so much awesome detail into your work, it's always such a pleasure to check out your newest piece. I don't usually suggest projects, but I'd love to see a Spirits of Vengeance era Blaze. Overcoat and sawed off style. I think that would fit right in with your collection.

first of all... thank you j.j., that all means a lot to me. seeing the work from you and others here is what keeps me striving harder with each one. for years I really looked up to the artists who made the work posted here, now I still do, but im happy to be counted among you all.

second.... yes, suggestions please. that blaze is on my very long "to do" list. I have a pair of doc ock glasses saved for that project. im always looking for new ideas, so feel free, everyone, suggest away.

thanks necro. I have a bunch of tattoos myself (including a big ghost rider on my right arm) so it was important for me to get them right. I sat with printouts of comic pages of him just trying to figure out what everything was and where it went. I've been working on him in the background while I've been finishing the other recent figs for a while now. dewarting the maestro was a big project in itself. not sure how much farther into this set im gonna go. ill proyl do an updated vengeance, but I don't really care to make a death ninja or doghead. maybe ill focus on the other side of the books characters again. caretaker sara, more of the other ghost riders, maybe some gun nuns, motorcycle nurses, jaine cutter,etc...
