Hello Realmers, feels like its been ages since I've uploaded a custom (my girlfriend and I don't have nearly as much time for customizing as we'd like to). Today I'm uploading a custom that I've been working on off and on for a couple of weeks now, and actually had the pics of it warming my hdd for about a week, and it's one that I'm extremely proud of. Without further ado, allow me to present my New 52 Jeans and T-Shirt Superman! I made this Superman from a John Cena figure, with the legs from just below the knees spliced in from a different John Cena figure, the head was a modified WWE The Miz head, and the cape is from a 3 3/4" Odin fig.

I had to crack the torso to swap the head (broke a peg and had to fix it lol), which gave me the perfect chance to sand down inside the shoulder joint to eliminate paint rub there. The legs took a bit of work, as I had to slice em with a hot X-Acto (the dremel would have taken too much off) and then splice them together with screws/superglue. I then sculpted on the bottom of the pants and the rolled-up pant legs over said splicing point. I came to realize after this was done, that one leg was just a hair shorter, so I have to have him stand with one knee slightly bent lol.

Anyway, I painted him with all Testors Gloss paints (which we recently stepped up to from FolkArt, and I cannot stress how insane the quality difference is), the pants and boots being mixed up colors. The symbol, both the chest one and the cape one, were insanely hard to do, but I wouldn't stop until I got them as close to perfect as I could lol; they were painstakingly done with toothpicks. Thanks for looking, hope everyone enjoys it, and please let me know what you think!

Thanks man, I really put a lot of work into this one and I think it paid off, especially compared to my previous work. I know a lot of people didn't like this design of Superman, but I for one thought it was a nice change of pace and would have been how he would've started out. Anyway, thanks again, really appreciate the comment

Thank you, but I didn't actually sculpt the hair. The head was the perfect base for this custom, but it had a stupid looking faux-hawk. So I had to dremel it down level with the sides then put some like... hair... notches? I have no idea what to call it lol but you know what I mean. Anyway, thanks for your comment
