Hello, I did this after seeing Matthancock use the same base. ML Constrictor but I used a New Krypton Mon-el head with custom hair sculpt. almost every part on him was sculpted over with Aves.
YES - Constrictor is probably THE best base figure for this. I just bought another one last week. The big think to think about is that the apoxie sculpt has to be put on in VERY VERY thin layers...so thin that you can almost see the navy blue showing through it (since it's translucent when thin). That way it won't bulk him up unnaturally. Another thing you might want to consider, if you take another stab at this, is to purchase a very small ball stylus tool. That's what I use to make the suit texture. It's VERY time consuming, but worth it in the end.
I congratulate you on taking on this costume. It's a very difficult suit to sculpt! Kudos on trying! Give it another shot!
Might I suggest starting with a different base? The sculpting is too much (IMHO). The forearms are bigger than the biceps. The boots look too big. I like the head.
Okay, thank you! Now that I look back at him I guess so. I do agree with what your pointing out except the base. I think the constrictor is one of the best choices,
