I used a Marvel Select Venom and did a lot of joint work and shortening to get him down to ML height. Changed his proportions so he's sort of a bigger guy in ML, whereas his build was pretty lanky for MS.
I added some clawed hands, an alternate head, and some new guns. There's double knees and rocker ankles now too so he can hit some pretty sweet poses. Real fun project!
Your Agent Venom is by far the best one I've seen and I've just got into making custom figures and this venom is something that I really want start on but I want to use a marvel legends figure as base as apposed to a marvel select because I'm not anywhere near as talented as you, so I was wondering if you had any suggestions as to which figure to use as a base and is there anyway I can contact you for help if its not too much trouble ?
Well, I changed out his knees with double knees, which allowed me to take a little height out there. Took a little more height out of the ankles, waist, neck, wrists, and head so in the end he got about 3/4" shorter and his proportions look bulkier in comparison to the original. Lotta work, but I covered it up pretty well.
Super improved figure, the actual figure should have looked like this. Still a little tall, but who cares bro?, Since he got enhanced by the symbiote Venom, he has the right to be taller than originally.
Yea, I was going for the proportions/height he's usually got in Secret Avengers. In his own title he looks a lot more like he's just Spider-Man with some light armor on, but he's closer to Captain Britain-sized in Secret Avengers.
There's a rumble of a Spawn presence in the design, especially with the black tentacles creeping on the face, and the enhanced riot/combat gear. And those paint strokes are fearless!
Wish I could take credit for the paint strokes! Most of the paint's still factory, but I painted over my mods and new parts to match. Glad the paints turned out really streamlined though. I was a little afraid that when I photographed this the paint I put on would've looked a lot different.
Yea, kinda limited to just the 3 pics here, and with the extra head and whatnot it was hard to tell which ones would show the height mods, versus which ones just show how nice the final thing ended up. But yea, there's always more pics at the bay or elsewhere.
Thanks! Glad I did the extra head. Got a nice creepy vibe to it, and as cool as the new Venom design is, there really isn't much to remind you it's a symbiote.
Thanks! Figured it'd be a cool add-on. Plus I gotta say, felt funny doing a custom that had this little paintwork. There's probably as much paintwork on that head as there is on the entire rest of the figure!

Thanks! The proportions were the part that took the most planning. It's really easy to just make the figure look funny by taking out the height at the wrong place, but I worked around that by taking a little bit of height out everywhere.
