When Atrocitus was on earth he felt Mera heart beat but he felt two of them.How strange this was to him.So he decide to go and seek out Mera to lay his eyes upon her again. He went searching for the heart beat closes to him which led him to Amnesty Bay.There he told Mera about how he felt about her.Mera told Atrocitus that she understood but she is deeply in love with Arthur and she could only be friends with him.Heart broken Atrocitus left in a rage.Before leaving Earth he decided to go to the next location that he felt Mera heart beat which led him to the Bermuda Triangle.He could not believe his eyes another Mera how could this be?Was this so kind of mad sorcering?After freeing Hila (Siren) the two begun to talk. Hila (Siren) told him about her twin sister Mera and her mission to kill Aquaman.Atrocitus insisted that they leave Earth now he's growing sick of this mud ball.They went to some unknown planet were they talk more.And out of nowhere Atrocitus grab Hila (Siren) by the neck and slam her into side of an mountain and confess his undying love for her and that she is a woman after his own heart and ask her for her hands in marriage. With a sinister smile on her face and love in her eyes she accept his proposal.The two was later marriage on the planet Ysmault were she received her Red Lantern ring in unholy matrimony. On Ysmault Dex-Starr fell in love with Hila (Siren) and has attach himself to her never wants to leave Hila (Siren)side.
