Gul Aris was a former bouncer on his home planet. But he dreamed of being his own boss. When he was chosen as a member of the Green Lantern Corps he got just that. While he realizes the Guardians control the Corps he also knows he controls his ring. Gul Aris figured that was as close he'd get to being his own boss and he was fine with that.

After the numerous attacks by the Keepers that led to the deaths of many Green Lanterns the Guardians of Oa decided that an elite team of Lanterns was needed. Normally members of the Green Lantern Honor Guard would be called upon to handle tough missions. However, the Guardians wanted to form a team that were not bound by the typical code of conduct a Green Lantern must maintain. They wanted a team that could and would break the rules. And so The Breakers were formed.

Gul Aris became the leader of The Breakers. And he was given the task to recruit a team of Green Lanterns with attitudes. His teammates know him for his strong-willed attitude and steadfast dedication to get the job done. He is well versed in forming constructs and can ring sling with the best. And just in case his ring is ineffective or it fails his wings are razor sharp.

*THE BREAKERS*

The Breakers are an elite group of Green Lanterns formed by the Guardians of Oa. They are called upon to perform jobs that normal Lanterns can't handle. The Breakers team does not officially exist within The Book of Oa. Few Green Lanterns know of the group's existence. They don't answer to anyone but the Guardians. When all else fails, they don't. They are able to function with little restraint, but that also means they are on their own if they become compromised. The use of lethal force was activated in all Green Lantern Power Rings of all members of The Breakers. This was at the request of Gul Aris.

The Breakers are not required to patrol sectors. This is primarily so that they can remain on Oa and be called upon on short notice.


Base Figure: DC Universe Classics John Stewart
Head: Manga She-Spawn helmet combined with a skallox head. I cut up a skallox head and glued it inside the helmet. Then I painted it black to match the helmet.
Hands: Redakai Harrier figure hands.
Wings and Tail: Redakai Harrier figure wings and tail. They detach from the figure easily. I drilled holes to attach them to this custom. The wings can be put up or switched to look as if they are down. I showed that in the last picture.
Ring: Sculpted a ring with sculpey and painted with Tamiya clear green.


The Breakers: A Special Ops Team of Green Lanterns. I came up with the name. More members to come.
