After picking up the new Marvel Legends Heroic Age Iron Man I was a little disappointed in the paint job. I thought the colors were a little too dull looking, so I had to experiment on the paint job a little. The first thing I did was do some panel lining, and then sealed the lines with some dullcote. After the dullcote dried I painted over the red areas and the panel lines with a metallic red, and the same with the gold areas. Then I repainted all the reactors. Finally I sealed him with nice shiny top coat for the metallic look. I hope you all like him.
Going back through ur work I spotted this and thought "hey my Iron Man doesn't near as good"! Great enhancements overall, I love it looks store bought and definitely metallic appeal!
Thanks I really liked the design of this figure, but the plastics that they used made look to much like a gummy bear. So after a coat of paint and panel lining he replaced the ML Series 8 Modern Armor Iron Man on my main display shelf.
beautiful! Nice and smooth. Do you mind me asking what metallic red you used? I am getting tired of using clear Tamiya over silver for my metallics. Too much of a pain!
Thank you very much For this one the first thing I did was to panel line the red areas then sprayed the entire figure with dullcote. Then I just used a testors red metal flake over the original red of the figure. Then sealed it with a final top coat of Dulpi-Color clear.

You should do the same for the other armors!
