Inspired by Uncanny X-Men #281, I've always wanted to make this villainous band of cyborgs. As my first attempt at customizing I probably shouldn't have tackled the whole group at the same time, but I have enjoyed it. I chose to go with Lanard's "The Corps" action figures for the base (Available at any WalMart/DollarGeneral). Sculpey for the helmet and forearms, using a small flat head screwdriver for details. I carved and added some wiring to the forearms to make him more "robotic" looking. To give this guy his respirator, I knew I had to make the helmet smaller than in my first character. I was so happy with my scuplt, I cured it right away... later realizing his helmet was MUCH smaller then I intended. To "bulk" him up I sculpted the backpack, which the group often carries anyway. ;-) Complete repaint and dry brush technique using Hobby Lobby water-based paints. Then clear coat Matte-finish spray paint to protect and give it a more "new figure look". Wiring from the inside of a phone cord to finish. I hope you enjoy! Thank you! ![]() |

Figurerealm hosts some of best work I've seen. I just hope I work is worthy.
