Same trick as on my latest Batman. I painted the body solid black excluding the hands and neck and let dry. Then I came back and scrubbed off the highlights with a magic eraser. The cape was a narrower cut since superman has less of a glider quality to his cape. I did finally manage to get that seen black "S" on the cape this time in hand cut vinyl.
The cape looks pretty sharp. I used the wires that form the cape tobdrawvthat fabric into the body and sealed it off with hot glue and te formed it over the shoulders and back.
I appreciate the kind thoughts! I'm always inspired by folks on the realm too, and have been itching to do a Star Wars ship or batmobile custom after your ship repaints!! And your Classic Chris Reeve Superman series is still one of my all time favorites! OH--by the way, my son asked me to tell you my last name is Fitzmaurice, not Fitzgerald. He's 13, and apparently sensitive! LOL! Take care man, can't wait to see your next work!!

So yesterday I did 2. Today I did another.
