I couldn't decide which of my cylon concepts I liked more, so I decided to put them both up.
This is the C.E.C. centurion (combat elite cylon). Similar to the Heavy Artillery Cylon concept, this centurion features a heavier armor and rifle holsters on each hip. Unlike its four-armed counterpart, it is less bulky, allowing for faster and more agile movement. It's closer in design to the standard centurion, and is designed for ground combat on the colonies. My idea is that these centurions would be the front line during the attack, dozing through the enemy lines and forming an opening for other models to infiltrate (Much like I imagine the purpose for the BSG Razor commanders vs. regular centurions/pilots).
The recipe is similar to my other design. I took a Lost in Space robot apart and spray painted silver. Then took off the legs, arms, and head of a cylon centurion. I reworked the holes for the head, waist, and arms to fit without losing articulation, and attached everything with glue before painting in the details and shading. There are notches on the thigh for the holster, and the two guns were spares from my fodder box.
While I love both of my concepts, I feel like this guy fits right into the BSG universe, and now have him displayed in my dioramas.

Hey Blain! Amazing work. I've been meaning to ask you if you'd be interested in buying up all my BSG figures, parts and accessories. I've got quite a bit. I will post a picture in my trade thread and update it so it is near the top. It will be titled "10over6 trade shop BSG collection added!!!" Really great stuff.

holy s@)$#%! this is awesome! It was a nice surprise to see you started tackling the modern Cylons---there was no variety with them whatsoever, and I think variants like this just make a lot of sense!

Thanks... I've got a bunch of concept art of modern cylons, just finding the right pieces to bring them to life is difficult, but I'm glad you like!
