Like most customizers here, I am never satisfied with my work and am constantly going back and changing things. I made an Indy out of a GI Joe and posted it here last summer. I can't even look at that figure now. This figure is done in the style of the vintage Star Wars line that is so well detailed and movie accurate. I took the head from one of those Han Solo figures and attached it to a KOTCS Indy. I lopped it off at the neck to keep the rotation of the head. The mushroom cap joint on Han is much bigger than on the Indy so I figured it would be easier to do it that way. The Harrison Ford likeness on that Han is one of the reasons I wanted to do this custom in the first place. The other reason is that I always wished the Indy figures had ball jointed legs. I took the hips and upper legs from an A-Team Bradley Cooper that i used for a James Bond custom I wasn't too thrilled with. Getting the colors right was the hardest part but the most fun. i don't think any Indy figure so far has got the right color scheme. The only figure i found that gets the colors of Indy's clothes right is the Disney park exclusive with the jacket they made a while back. Hasbro and Kenner didn't ever come close. So this is my Vintage Style Indiana Jones figure and one of my favorite customs to date. Hope you enjoy. ![]() |
