I'm really excited about the release of Injustice: Gods Among Us this week, so because of that, I've been delving a lot into DC customs as of late. Especially this week, where all my figures are DC creations. And more to come next week as I couldn't finish them all in time. First up is Shayera Hol. I had only ever seen one look for Hawkgirl until I watched Justice League Unlimited. I loved the look, which is likely close to one we'd see in a movie featuring her. We ended up getting a JLU version of it as an SDCC exclusive, I believe, but not even Infinite Heroes brought out a Hawkgirl at all. Well, I took my recently acquired Angel and gave her a shot. The wing pegs had to be cut down a little so as to not prevent arm movement, but they fit great otherwise. Build the mace up too. Cut a staff in half, then attached the spiked ball from a chap mei morningstar I believe it was. I absolutely love winged characters, so I'm hoping to get more Angel figures. Love this look for her and I'm quite happy with how it came out.
