Been taking a break from making 6 inch Joes, but I just got back into it.
Here is a custom marvel legends style Cobra the Enemy- Destro. He was the terrorist organization Cobra's enemy weapons and supplies arms dealer, and the inventor of a lot of Cobra's Doomsday Weaponry like the Weather Dominator and the infamous Mass Device. Arguably one of the best villain characters in the cartoon and comic book series.

I wanted to make an imposing brawny version of him with two alternating heads. These shots are of the first head, the second was using a modified hitman head but I ended up liking this one more because it is so shiny which is a signature attribute of Destro I think. Neck Collar is from a spawn figure and Shirt collar from fodder. Used a lukebody, but did away with parts like the arms as I did not want paint rub. The chain was from a piece of jewelry and the gem is from a costume jewelry shop. Gun and Holster were from Venom and straps were made from fodder or sculpted. The rest like the wrist gauntlets were basically sculpted. No paint rub since everything was opened and pretreated and mostly black to start with.
I am not sure if I will be able to explain this correctly, but I am not a fan of round ball joints in older Marvel figures between the hip and thighs because you usually have to rotate them to find the grove to move forward and back and then you have to readjust them again. Some figures allow you to move forward and back without an adjustment like standard DC universe figures which I like because thy can do a sideways split and with ease move fwd and back. These legs actually have the ball joint I like where no adjustment is required to move them forward and back. I am trying to make sure that most of the custom Joes I make have this feature so I have been upgrading that joint in the ones I have made that dont have them to make it less cumbersome to pose.

Had this on the shelf for a long time and just decided to finish him for the contest the day of but missed the deadline because I fell asleep before I could submit it, LOL. I did a Destro 1.0 when I first started customizing gi joes in a marvel legends 6 inch scale and he was very basic with out as much detail. I think he is still in my early portion of the picture database here on the realm. I wanted a 2.0 updated version to keep up with the current GI JOES in a 6inch scale that I have been poping out recently which have a lot more detail and weaponry. I made him 6.5 to 6.75 inches since he always seem to tower over other characters in the cartoon series and always seemed to have a strong build. Articulation was important to me this time around with this 2.0 version having about 36 points of articulation. I also wanted his wrist gauntlets to have that imposing weaponry that I loved as a kid with the grenades and rocket launcher with steel mechanical like hands. I have a belt that goes across his left side of his chest, but ended up keeping it the way it is without the belt because I liked it better that way. I will try an add a pic in May of him with that add on accessory.

Used the 2.0 Baroness in the group shot but 3.0 should be finished soon.
You can see most of the other GI JOEs and COBRAs in a 6 inch scale I have done to date by clicking on my idname and scrolling through the database. Some havent been posted yet so I will get around to it in May.

YO JOE!
