Brainiac!! After seeing the costume designs for Man of Steel coming up, I noticed that Zod's armor is very reminiscent of H.R. Giger's work. Of course, I immediately wanted to see how bad ass I could make a Brainiac in a similar style. I had bought that Prometheus 2-pack a while back, wanting to use the tentacles for a future custom (keep yer eyes peeled kiddies!). This one ended up being a REAL Frankenstein mix of parts: I used the Engineer body, and cut up the skirt from a Stargate figure. I also used the head from a Dc Direct JUSTICE Lex Luthor, and used round jewelry chain links to make the 'plugs' on Brainiac's head. Backpack is made up of Spawn parts and DC Collectibles Mr. Freeze, and the posable 'utility arms' on his back came from a Matrix Sentinel. The bionic arm and boots came from a Neca Bionic Commando figure, while the claw and extendable tentacle came from a Spider-Man 2 Movie Doc Ock. Oh, and his right fore-arm & hand came from a Neca Bulletstorm figure. Electricity blast comes from a FF movie Dr Doom. More pictures are available below, at both the Ebay link and the Heroes Assembled Customs Facebook page! Thanks for looking!! **Just included a before & after pic for contrast** ![]() |

Excellent concept, nice work.
Those spider-arms on his back for example:
Are they needed? No, not really. BUT, they'd be creepy as hell if someone was laying on his 'operating table', with Brainiac looking the opposite way. The victim tries to get free and escape un-noticed, but those arms unfold, springing to life and grabbing the victim before that can get the chance!
Maybe a little busy, but sure was fun to build!
