I'm more a Marvel boy than a DC guy but I do like Batman and The Dark Knight Returns is one of my favorite comic-books. One day, looking at the Wrecker figure my wife gave me as a gift for father's day, I've been thinking it might be a good base for a DKR custom. Searching the realm, I found out it had been done at least one time but, hey, I had to to try to get mine anyway...
Sand off the torso and belly, modified gloves with added spikes, modified the head and the boots, sculpted the utility belt and the cape (thin plastic base and papier maché). Lots of painting and repainting to get things right (or almost).
Now I have a Dark Knight standing proudly on my shelves !
