The new Young Avengers comic is really good, and I've enjoyed Kid Loki quite a bit. This caused me to go back and read through the Loki issues of Journey into Mystery from the last couple years. Great stuff. I knew I would have to make a young Loki figure sooner or later. It took me a while to figure out what parts to use, but I eventually found a nice combination. The head is a cast of the Icons Peter Parker, shrunken down to 6" scale. It feels a tad narrow for Loki, but I like the youthfulness of it. This was also my first time using styrene sheets. I used it for the skirt, crown and some other small elements. I'm happy with how it turned out. I wanted to make sure he had narrow shoulders and a child-like body, so I used a LOTR Sam body for the base. I had to extend the waist a bit to add a bit of height, and not make the arms and legs look too long. He's retained all his articulation, except for the hips because the skirt gets in the way. Head: Icons Peter Parker head cast Body: LOTR Sam figure Forearms and shins: Ultimate Nightcrawler Hands: Mr. Fantastic Feet: black Spidey The gems on his boots and torso are stick on beads. I sculpted the hood and the other elements. I added a bit of white to the chest of one of the Crow's crows, turning him into Ikol. ![]() |
