Quarter Pounder rose to prominence in McDonaldland after Mayor McCheese was killed in battle with the Werewolf Women. He gained his moniker during his years in the McDonaldland police force working in the mutant quarter regularly pounding mutants into submission with his giant hammer. With the loss of the Mayor, The Council needed a new bloodthirsty leader for their gestapo-like police force, and they quickly decided on Quarter Pounder to fill the void. He then underwent the same plastic surgery as Mayor McCheese and Hamburglar to become the embodiment of The Council's power.
For Quarter Pounder, I used Major Maxim base, with a Mayor McCheese head, sculpted scars and eyepatch, re-sculpted the hammer with the "Q", and repainted. With Mayor McCheese, I had a little trouble working with the hollow and soft head, so this time I did it a little differently. I removed the bottom of the head, taped over the hole where the top hat had been and filled the cavity with InstaMorph beads, then heated them with my heat gun to melt them, essentially making the head solid, it worked really well, luckily the beads have a lower melting point than the head, so I didn't melt him while melting the beads. InstaMorph is pretty cool stuff, really good for things like this and for making a really rough framework to sculpt on.
What a treat to see a new McDonaldland masterpiece from you, X! This QuarterPounder custom does not disappoint! SO AWESOMELY EXECUTED and full of personality!!!
Really nice, I was looking forward to seeing a Quarter Pounder in your MacDonaldland series and this absolutely doesn't disappoint! Ingenious use of that Major Maxim base; very creative to go with a totalitarian Third Reich-ish vibe for the character.
I used that base for a Red Skull awhile back, but was never really that happy with it, so when I got a new Mayor McCheese head, I knew what I had to do with it.
