KITTY PRYDE in SPRITE Rollerskate Costume (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:50934
Name:KITTY PRYDE in SPRITE Rollerskate Costume
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:GDX
Date Added:June 21, 2013
Base Figure:Marvel Legends Lady Deathstrike
Height:6.00 inches
Kitty Pryde (aka Shadowcat aka Ariel, aka Sprite) has had quite a few costumes during her run, but one of her most infamous has to be the absolutely garish, self-designed "Sprite" costume she debuted back in "Uncanny X-Men" #168...yes, the one with the roller skates. I have a thing for the strange and obscure (as I always say) and this costume has to take the cake. This custom came about from a desire to attempt to make a horrible costume look good (...okay, clearly that goal is impossible) or at least look "right" on a figure, and I had an Marvel Legends Lady Deathstrike I didn't want. The figure features a LOT of custom sculpting and uses parts from a WWE Lita figure (arms), and Xena Warrior Princess (head), and Shi (hair).

Nice! A design tragedy it may be but your work - especially the paints, make it fun.
Not just fun but funky and not just funky but Parliament Funkadelic.

the costume is horrible, indeed. But the custom figure is fantastic. Great attention to details, and X-tra points for bringing such a obscure design to life in plastic. Great job.
