While I enjoyed Iron Man 3, and understand that, in the end, it's Tony Stark's movie, I felt that they treated Rhodey as something of a joke. So, simply, I set out to make a War Machine that wasn't a joke! My newest "Marvel Mech", is an upgraded "tank on legs" War Machine, with a battle ready Rhodes as the pilot. For War Machine, I used the Avengers Iron Man Battle Armor with some extra weapons and sculpting on the chest and head. The Rhodey figure is a mix of GI Joe parts, with the head of a cancelled unhelmeted Rhodey from the "Iron Man 2" line (with actor Don Cheadle's likeness), repainted to match the actor's skin tone.
Thanks. It's funny, At a glance at on the shelves, they don't look like much. Especially when you figure the initial price tag and it's serious lack of paint aps. But once they started hitting the discount chains, and I actually bought one and got a good look at them up close, I knew they had a lot of potential!
