Alright, so...did this guy for my X-men AOA collection (work in progress) before I realized there was an Alternate Reality contest. So, here goes. 90% apoxy here yo! Used ML Beta Ray Bill base. Cut shins down to size. Removed head. Added bulk to thighs and legs as needed with apoxy. More apoxy on back to create joints for 2nd set of arms. Sculpted them to resemble a muscular back...sort of. 100% apoxy for face, details, and horns. Tongue from ML Venom fodder. Right shoulder pad is apoxy on a thick rubber band for straps and belt. Mainly to retain flexibility as both sets of arms are fully articulated. Apoxy for minor details. Hope you like. OOH, also, cut pieces of cape fodder for finger nails.
He looks pretty good, but your photos are on the small side, so it's difficult to evaluate your work. I'd recommend submitting larger images next time.
Yeah, so I gotta refuse to vote for this one on the grounds that it's out of the scope of the contest. Sorry to the creator - looks like a nice custom - but rules state "The goal is to create an alternate reality version of a main universe character." Sugar Man has no main universe counterpart...
Indeed, in order to create a figure that fit the contests rules this should be an alternate version of the main Sugar Man character. Since, Age of Apocalypse is the original source for him, it should be a version of him from another completely different universe and not Age of Apocalypse. Maybe, a heroic Sugar Man...or, 616 Sugar Man from The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants...
