-I made this awhile ago, after part 1 of The Dark Knight Returns animated feature debuted.
-It's a fairly simple repaint, based off the image in the background. That cover actually is the only time you see Batman in that custom. At no point is that color scheme or symbol every used in the book. It's actually a combination of the TWO customizes Frank Miller utilized. I loved how unique it was, and wanted to homage it. This figure seemed pretty perfect.
-Everything was freehand re-painted. I penciled the symbol in, and then freehand painted it as well. I'm really happy w/ the results. Hope you enjoy.
