Did you ever have the undercover Donatello from te 90's? Well if you didn't, hopefully you can still appreciate this figure! This one was made by request from a guy that I have done a few customs for. We decided to stay away from the goofiness of the original undercover Don and make him a bit more intense! The figure itself is just a complete repaint. The hat was sculpted from scratch and then I used fabric glue to cover it in suede (worked a lot better than I expected!) His gun was a made from one that came with a 12" cobra commander. I cut off the barrel and re-sculpted it to look larger and so it would have the silencer. The suit case was made from balsa wood and the handle was sculpted with aves and braced with an old paint brush handle. The inside of the case was pieces of a suit case that was also from a cobra commander 12", just repainted. I sculpted the black pizza slice, if you do remember the old figure you probably remember that accessory! Now... On to the coat... Wayyyy more work than I expected! I don't know how many times I ran measurements and cut fabric over and over through trial and error till I got it right but I had plenty of "f$@& this I quit!" moments haha! I wanted it to look awesome! Not like some crappy loose fitted bag of coat like most real clothing that comes with toys usually looks like. So all the frustration paid off! This is exactly how I wanted it to look, like an actual jacket would fit him! Well I hope you all enjoy it! I had a lot of fun and learned so much while making this one!
