Movie Maniacs were selling well and someone at McFarlane must have said hey, why don't we take that way of doing it to the Spawn series? Spawn Series 17 was beautiful, they really were, but practically no articulation.
I thought I could take that Spawn V and add some value to it. That ended up being wings. They are removable and they do still flap on hinges, and they were made from a pair of Total Justice Hawkman wings. I then sculpted additional feathers over the whole thing with Sculpy. Yes, Sculpy. What a mistake. That material is way too fragile and brittle for this. Many many feathers broke off. The wings were mounted on a little piece that you could instal on any figure with a small screw, so the custom is really the wings. First time I put a thin wire in the chains to be able to pose them, which was nice, but the addition of wings, the scarf, sword and guns could only take Spawn V so far.
