Following the same reasoning as with Joe, I decided to go back and give Ken another shot. I think my second rendition came out a bit better than my first. The paint definitely appears smoother. And, this time I got to include his sword, so that's always a plus. And the head fits a lot better too. Somehow I got the dremeling perfect this time. Not so much I need to fill it in, and not so little that it fit exceptionally tight. Getting a little better at the emblem, as well. Looking around to getting a third shot at him, as well, when I can get my hands on another Microman figure. Really enjoying making these guys.
This is pretty cool! If you want the paints to go on a bit smoother, you could try mixing in a bit of water (if they're water based acrylics). I've learned that thinner layers applied a couple times works better than trying to cover in one coat with the lighter colors like yellows and whites. Just a technique I thought I'd share--NICE WORK!
Excellent again! This time you added the Microman Gatchaman sword and I think that the symbol is better painted than the other, at least more accurate to the anime version (despite I liked a lot the first one, smaller and thinner). Great work!
