so when i saw the poster for the guardians of the galaxy movie i had to make these characters. i got the box set, and got to work. i sculpted drax bigger and repositioned his knives so they didn't stick out his sides. then i used a metallic red and kinda smudged in the general areas of his new patterns, i probably could have done it better but i kinda like it.
starlord i repainted and got some fabric for his coat, i modified his helmet to look like the movie prop and then i felt something was missing so i added some straps with electrical tape.
rocket raccoon i rounded out a minimate body took his hands and feet and attached those, then his head fit well over a minimate head and made a hole for his tail. his head is still very expressive and his tail is still poseable.
groot i left the same, then i added a larger one!!! i took a movie hal jordan and sculpted the hell out of it he can still move to a point but he still looks really good.
