Base- Sandtrooper Black Series
Head- Luke Pilot Black Series

I knew that we weren't getting one any time soon, so I decided to make one. Got sidetracked on a few other projects and just got it done.
The first thing that I did was remove the head and sand down the neck's ball joint so that it could fit the Luke head. Hasbro decided to give the sandtrooper and Luke different sized joints.
Then I removed all of the paint on the sandtrooper. There was a lot of grime and sand paint applications that made it look like it had been on Tattooine. I did this using cotton balls and q-tips dipped in acetone. (outside so I didn't die in a non ventilated environment)
The sandtrooper head was dremeled out very carefully. There isn't a lot of room for clearance and Luke's head fits very very tightly inside. The helmet looks great on or off his head. I love removable helmets and masks on figures. I'd imagine that if they ever did one of these, they'd make a decent helmet if X-Wing helmet is any indication.
Then I repainted some of Luke's hair and added some paint apps to his skin tone to make it look more realistic.
The sandtrooper body was still really dull white. Almost like and off white color. I wanted it to be pristine and more brilliant white like they were in ANH.
So I repainted the entire body using Citadel and Formula P3 paints. The body was then sealed.
I made sure that he had his lightsaber and blaster, and finished him up with some touch ups.
Pretty easy and not too time consuming.
I'm on to finishing Wedge.
