Repainted the Classic Predator in full jungle-camo. The effect is basically bending light around its surface, creating blind spots, and distorting the surrounding images around itself like a cloak. Being still years away from perfecting this technology, will have to make do with this painted version. Interestingly, the outdoor UV light changed the hue of the green, giving off an almost glowing effect. Because the figure was originally transparent in color, the sunlight passing through makes the green now appear glowing. In studio lighting, the green is as it is to the naked eye. Sculpted the corpse from fodder/apoxie, used twine at the base of the ankles, sprayed gloss for realistic effect. Also, while setting up the shot in a nearby woods, distinctly heard a woman's voice shouting, "Billy! Billy!" just like Arnie did in the movie. Obviously, it was someone's dinner time, but the coincidence was unnerving, because there ARE no coincidences... Thanks for checking this out!
this is pretty much the sort of thing I always hoped NECA would do for a stealth predator. I always felt that just releasing the stealth predators in tranparent plastic was a bit of a cop out, it never truly captured the rippled look of the movie cloaking, but this nails it. all you need now is a matching backdrop...
