As most know, I've always loved variations of characters. Especially darker variations. Which is probably why Eradicator has been my favorite Superman type character for years. That, and the fact that he has likely gotten the least attention. I honestly don't even know where this look came from, but I love it more than the original one. So, that made me go ahead and decide to give him a shot. Most remember Eradicator from Reign of the Supermen, following Death of Superman. But, he actually appeared before that, first being created in 1989. But, he didn't do much else than one attempt at converting Earth into New Krypton. That storyline sounds familiar.... anyway, Superman deactivated him, and his subsequent death woke him right back up. He ended up becoming a hero later, and eventually did the self sacrificing thing. And, unfortunately, hasn't popped up in New 52 yet. Really curious to see what he could look like. As far as the figure goes, he was generally a straight repaint with Thor's cape attached to his back. I used a Wonder Man cast head and gave sculpting glasses a shot. The smaller detail was a little more difficult, but I honestly expected it to come out worse, so I'm fairly pleased. I definitely want to make his other looks in the future.
