From the beginning of tmnt April has been in every tmnt story line. So what if one day she was hurt to the point of total destruction. The only way the brother could figure how to save her was by using the same chemicals that turned them into the mutants they are today. As a result she survives but then transforms her self into a mutant turtle. By being trained as a partner she's able to be a butt kicking ninja her self. She decides to chose katanas as her primary weapons.
The base figure is a impact wrestling figure Gail Kim I sculpted the shell. I found this to be a perfect base for her to sculpt the turtle shell on front but keep that female shape. If it was another figure the shape would come out looking more like a skinny turtle.the head is Micky. I also gave him master splinters hand modified to have articulation. Sculpting about every thing on her. Also a lot of dry brushing went into this. Equipped her with a small arsenal of weapon and two katana. Would love feed back on this figure. I will be making Casey in this design if I hear good things about this figure
I think you did do a wonderful job here. I will admit that I gave this only three or four out of five, partly because it competed with "Adult Raph" which I didn't know was by the same artist and I thought was better executed, partly because the pics don't show her rear shell and partly because I wished her front shell had looked more shell-like, texture-wise. I liked the "swimsuit" shell-shape idea, but wished it still looked a little more shell-like. . Still though, all three submissions by you are outstanding and are some of your greatest work thus far!!! Outstanding [smilie =eusa_clap.gif]
Lol thanks man I don't blame you I wanted all tree to look like they were from different people or at least not by me. As for the swim suit shell. I wanted it to look more famine for the body. Rather then like a skinny male turtle
She's an interesting alternate take on April, although, based on the original cartoon, I always like to think of her as a catwoman when it comes to mutating. Overall, this is a sharp looking custom, but I would have given her a different weapon than katana, to differentiate her from Leonardo--naginata, kusarigama, or tessen perhaps.
