Anyone remember the Ultraverse? There was a lot of bad in comics during the 90's, but Ultraverse by Malibu (later purchased by Marvel) Comics, was VERY good early in it's run. Prime was one of my favorites. He was a Superman/Captain Marvel expy, but there was something striking about the character, and I HAD to make a custom version of him. Prime's main body is from Marvel Universe Hercules, with a head from MU Wonderman, and a cape from a DC Classics Superman figure cut to size. The boots, belt and arm bands are sculpted.
The character was drawn a lot with crazy proportions, and there's not many figures that match that. So that's what I was going for...trying to capture the aspects of Prime that made him so cool looking. Glad I was successful, Thanks!
Heck yeah I remember the Ultraverse I've recently been working on trying to get a complete set of all the Ultraverse comics. Prime was my favorite Ultra and you did a great job on him.
You and me both ... At the end of the Age of Ultron it would have been the perfect time to bring some of the Ultraverse characters over to the 616-verse.
Thanks! Unfortunately, Joe Quesada said it would be near impossible...all the weird rights issues. I wonder if Disney (and it's big bucks!) could work out those issues
