After it was known Bane would be on Dark Knight Rises I began to wonder what would be the ¨Nolanverse" version of the character and I felt like I had to custom my vision of it. Despite how much I like this figure, I is not what I was expecting to create.

First, I would have liked to use a ML Crossbones as base, since I was envisioning Bane as a mercenary, expert in combat, but not a hugemongous. I wanted to get rid of all venom and that (even if that defines the character). I used a ML Juggernaut I bougth on ebay instead (couldn´t afford a Crosbones).

Recipie is not complicated. I just painted it and sculpted the head. For the head I tried to go with something that would look like a helmet, and forget about Bane´s "luchador" mask. I tried to use some sort of skull motive, giving respirator of the helment the look of the teeth of the skull. Again, I would had prefer a Crossbones, and do a different king of mask.

My problem with this figure is that despite how much I like it now does not really resemble Bane. Just by seeing the picture if wouldn´t ring a bell (for Bane), and someone could just call him "Juggernaut version Whatever" and that would be fien for me too.

So, sometimes I think I´m going to ebay him and other that I´ll keep him. What do you guys think?
