Ariel the (not so) little mermaid. Made using 3.45" Dagger figure, strong wire, super sculpey and quality acrylics. I have been off work for a couple of days sick and I was watching all 4 Pirates of the Caribbean films back to back and the mermaids in the 4th film made me think "hey imagine if Ariel existed in the pirate universe" and so I decided to use my convalescence to make her as a figure! She fits in with my 3.45 Jack Sparrow and pirate figures and she is a bit more grown up and filled out, and appears to have taken a liking to rum soaked pirates rather than boring princes. I hope you like her.
Excellent Ariel. While I understand that you were going for a more mature look, I think she'd look better with smaller and more realistic breasts, but, other than that, outstanding work!
Thank you am glad you like her I am very proud of her . Female action figures tend to be rather busty,I didn't increase the size of them though but I think the sculpted seashells made them bigger looking. The pictures also seem to have enhanced her cleavage as she isn't so busty in person, the seashells look smaller on her in the pics too than in person. 'suppose mermaids gotta float some how haha!
Yes, it may be that the shells are making them look larger than they actually are; I've experienced similar situations after adding armor/clothing on top of breasts.
