"At one point in recent years the Starheart made Alan Scott, the original Green Lantern, appear much younger, and he took the new name and costume, Sentinel. He encountered a mysterious manifestation of the Starheart, which became malevolent. The Starheart was apparently destroyed and Alan's powers were diminished and he returned to his original uniform and age.

This was a really cool concept, that although it didn't last long, it was a great way to update a Golden Age character.
