Hi Realm! So I picked up a copy of Kevin Eastman's Artobiography book and came across an image I never saw before. It was the first ever ninja turlte drawing he made. It was so odd and freaky. I loved it and had to make a custom of it. This sculpture was made completely from scratch using sculpey, styrene, and apoxie sculpt. Hope you guys like it and thanks for checking it out!
what the hell...I love your stuff but didn't have seen this one till now.I know that drawing and the likeness of this custom is truly incredible.looks a little bit like you have given it to mondo and they're selling casts from this...I'm breathless, you are really a sculpting master!
THANKS! I did this sculpt and almost one year later Mondo announced theirs. Right after I did it Kevin Eastman commented on it. He said he wanted it. Seeing mondo doing it was like a pat on the back and kick in the balls at the same time.
you give it to eastman...?! the greatest honor...but I also feel with you...do you think he has given it to the company and the mondos are really inspired by yours? in this case it could be called a betrayal unpleasant...
I didn't give it to him. By the time he asked I had already sold it to a collector. No question after he saw it he reached out to Mondo to do their version together. What can I do? It was his design after all. I was paid really well for mine though. No complaints. I'm honored I put some wheels in motion for a mass produced version.
yeah, you're right...his design.I just thought it would be very sad if he took it and made a mass production out of without given part of the profit to you...the mondo's are even another scale, right? however,I love yours and eastmans work see you!
I started taking customizing serious and joined this site almost exactly one year ago. Being in the "most talked about customs" section of this site couldnt make me feel any better at the end of this looong year. It's quite the milestone! Thank YOU all so much for that!! Figurerealm helped me tap some creative depths I didn't even knew I really had. Heres to a NEW YEAR of producing more! 2014 here we gooooooooooo.
Beautiful piece; that's one of the best TMNT customs I've seen in a long time, and the fact that it's something so unusual, yet historically important, is just icing on the cake. Well done!

This will kick Michael Bay's ass soon
Eastman should see that, that's how good it is. Get it on Toycutter's site.
